The Strand is an area in London which is not to be missed as it is steeped in striking architecture which speaks of its long history. The Strand gets its name from Strand Street which runs three-quarters of a mile from Trafalgar Square to Fleet Street. It is a place that was once home to mansions, palaces, and grand townhouses which were inhabited by the city’s rich and influential. One of the most impressive buildings that stands there today is the Royal Courts of Justice. A stroll down this road is sure to have you gazing at the historic architecture and dreaming of times past.
